“Sunnyside Pointe Phase I” is an affordable housing subdivision located in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona on South Park Avenue and Irvington Road in a Qualified Census Tract. The total site is 36 acres with 267 lots that are being developed for first-time home buyers, senior rental homes, special needs and market family rentals. The project is being developed in four phases are as follows:
- First phase: 36 homes for first-time home buyers;
- Second phase: 90 units for low-income seniors with a community building on 5 lots;
- Third phase: 92 units for low-income seniors, 55+ and Special Needs with a community building on 8 lots;
- Fourth phase: 36 homes for future development- family rental housing;
A collaboration by La Frontera Partners, Inc. and Old Pueblo Community Services, also a nonprofit agency in Tucson, Arizona. This phase provided down payment assistance to 36 home buyers with 65% to 80% of AMI from the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco’s Affordable Housing Program (AHP), Pima County General Obligation Bond funds and Pima County NSP funds.
The homes are 3 and 4 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, ranging from 1,200 to 1,400 square feet and have a single car garage. The homes include energy efficient features and home warranties. This phase is complete.
